Beatrix Alison Binns was born 16th November 1936 to Donald Urquhart Binns and Beatrix Helen Binns nee Deighton in Feilding.
She was the second born in her family with 4 other siblings;

Alison married Rodney Alexander Cameron on the 26th July 1958 at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Levin.
Rodney and Alison had 3 Children;

- Allan Stewart, born 1961
- Bruce Robert, born 1962
