Francis Morris Deighton
Francis Morris Deighton died 11th March 1914
Francis Morris Deighton, born in Cambridge England, migrated to New Zealand in 1854 settling in the Rangitiki district. Morris first married Marjorie Fraser in 1868 but was widowed in the same year. His second marriage was to Alice Matilda Wakefield in November 1869. Francis Constructed the Leventhorpe homestead where he lived till his death. His widow stayed at the homestead for another 7 years before moving in with her son in Marton where she resided until she died.
